Abstract :
In this paper, the Dickson charge pump circuit with a resistive load is studied. Based on the steady state assumption, the dynamic analysis of Dickson charge pump circuit is developed, in which two methods are used to calculate the total stored charge in capacitors. This analysis results in the finding of the recurrence formula of the output voltage. From the recurrence formula, the equivalent circuit of the charge pump, the rise time of the output voltage of the charge pump and the mean current consumption of the charge pump are deduced. The comparison between Matlab simulation and SPICE simulation for the output voltage of Dickson charge pump circuit is also given.
