Abstract
Considered are the problem formulation and the analysis results of the spectrum of generalized natural waves (GNW) on optical fibers. The corresponding eigenvalue problem is formulated with the Reichardt condition at infinity in the cross-section. This enables one to study all the possible types of complex GNW. The main instruments of the analysis are the method of analytical regularization and the generalized Fredholm theorems. Discreteness of the spectrum of GNW and free-of-the-spectrum domain existence is established, on certain logarithmic Riemann surface
