Abstract :
An approximate method of modelling of light generation in a laser structure used for optical transparent telecommunication networks is presented. Our analysis is focused on the three main topics: output power optimisation, analysis of dynamic operation and analysis of quantum noise. Especially, the light generation in one dimensional (lD) distributed feedback (DFB) lasers and two dimensional (2D) distributed feedback and Bragg reflectors (DBR) lasers with circular grating are considered
