Abstract :
Cooperative multicast can allow the source to transmit at a higher rate by exploiting spatial diversity. In this paper, we give a two-phase cooperative multicast strategy in which multiple destinations retransmit data simultaneously. Power consumption is controlled by limiting the max number of cooperative terminals. Optimal time allocation of the two phases for maximum system throughput is analyzed.
