Abstract
This paper presents a solution to interconnect wireless cells to reach common LAN-dimensions. The protocol uses multicast to support fast handover in the presence of mobility in a local environment. The approach is strictly connectionless. A performance evaluation points out the benefits gained by using the multicast and estimates the drawbacks induced by the connectionless approach and by buffering
