Abstract :
In this paper, a functional simulation model for the seven-phase BLDC motor drive is studied and the actual implementation of the model is proposed with the help of Matlab Simulink. A new electrical equation to incorporate mutual inductance and switching function conception is derived to express phase currents. This model is used to examine the performance of speed control when fed by hysteresis current controllers. The dynamic characteristics of speed and torque as well as voltages and currents of PWM inverter components can be effectively monitored and developed.
