Abstract :
Application of an integral equation method to investigations of electrodynamics problems in the time domain is shown. By this approach a transformation of electromagnetic signals with a time change of the permittivity and conductivity of a medium, especially with a modulation of the medium parameters by a finite package of periodic pulses is considered analytically. An enhanced electromagnetic wave frequency shift by a moving plasma boundary and the electromagnetic wave evolution in the expanded plasma after its creation in a waveguide structure is studied. An ability to produce electromagnetic pulses when there is a combined effect of the time varying of the permittivity and the movement of the medium boundaries is shown
