Abstract :
An electrode configuration optimization approach for electrostatic forming membrane reflector antennas is presented in this paper. An analytical model of the reflector and the electrostatic forming theory are represented. Then, the advantage for distributed electrodes to against the harsh space environment is discussed. Finally, with considering the constraints of weight, cost, and control complexity, an optimization approach is proposed to find an optimal electrode configuration with less of voltage channel while assure the shape accuracy of reflector. The optimization model and corresponding solution strategy are discussed and the feasibility of this approach is demonstrated by numerical simulations.
