  • Abstract
To survey of heavy metals pollution in Lanping Jinding lead-zinc mine, based on pollution features of different areas, the contaminated soil area was divided into four zones which were polluted by tailings, mine drainage, settling dust in wind and spreading minerals during vehicle transportation respectively. Meanwhile, the model of soil environmental geochemical baseline was constructed by applying a normalization procedure. Depending upon it this article assessed the health risk of heavy metals pollution in Lanping Jinding lead-zinc mine. The assessment results show there is minimal Hg or As or Cu pollution and major Zn or Pb pollution in Lanping Jinding lead-zinc mine. The research shows the mining activities will inevitably bring heavy metals pollution which mostly is part of mined metals, there is highly health risk in Lanping Jinding lead-zinc mine environment.
