  • Abstract
The security threats in LTE (long time evolution) and the existing security mechanisms in mobile communication system are briefly introduced. In view of the development of the physical-layer security and the research of the security mechanisms in physical-layer, we analyze the application and advantages of the physical-layer security in future mobile communication system. A new authentication process is put forward based on the physical-layer security techniques, which can simplify the signaling interaction as well as enhance the security of the system.
