Abstract
In many industrial fields, electric servo drive systems have been widely applied to various loads with more complicated mechanisms. Since those mechanisms generally have low stiff structure, they form multi-mass resonant systems, by which the mechanical vibration during the motion is often experienced. Therefore, vibration suppression is indispensable to obtain high performance motion control. The paper presents the principles of estimating nonmeasurable state variables and external torque load in a DC motor drive systems with elastic motor shaft, and some experimental results are given
