Abstract :
The DAWID speech recognition system has been conceived for the real-time recognition of isolated spoken words. The system is described in its main components, a hardware analyzer, supplying binary features, and a software classifier, including phonetic classification, matching, and syntactic control. Moreover, two different aspects of the present system are outlined: results of performance evaluation and the description of applications of the system to some well-defined tasks.
