Abstract
A computational system is being developed for use as an educational and research tool in the field of biological thermoregulation. This bioinformatics system will be of considerable utility to the student technologist, scientist and clinician as well as to members of the general public. This is a PC windows-based modularized, interactive system. Base modules will be educational in nature instructing the basic principles of thermoregulation. Subsequent modules will become increasingly complex and allow the scientist to archive and analyze experimental data using intelligent software. This presentation focuses on the research applications of our system, specifically the acquisition and the analysis of experimental data
