The application and advantages of virtual reality technology in cultural resources communication

Virtual reality technology is a new type of interactive technology which can create a simulation environment by the use of computer. This paper first briefly introduces the concept of virtual reality technology, then discusses its application and advantages in protecting and continuing non-renewable cultural heritage, promoting a sustainable development of culture and tourism, propagandizing and exploring cultural resources, thus promoting development of economy.
