Abstract
Analytical procedures for establishing microprocessor accuracy, computational capability, and memory requirements for implementing linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control logic were developed and evaluated. The developed procedures were evaluated and illustrated by application to a linearized fifth-order F100 turbofan engine model. Results were verified using a digital simulation of a continuous system/microprocessor controller.
