Abstract
The aim of this work is to present a practical study to detect heartbeats from distance, as well as cardiopulmonary activity modeling and simulation, in order to separate the heart and the respiration signals. Using a Vector Network Analyzer, measurements are taken at 2.4, 5.8, 10,16 and 60 GHz. The Matlab simulation permits comparing several signal processing techniques in order to identify the most accurate one.
