Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to present some state estimation and failure simulation results which were attained by using a fermentation process model. Two non-linear MAP continuous-filter algorithms were used and their performances compared with each other. Some experiments have also been made when the process is subject to sudden changes in the process parameters. These changes can be imagined to simulate certain types of failures in the real process.
