Abstract :
We present the numerical studies of quality factors of silver metallo-dielectric photonic crystals cavity with different dielectric constants of background. We analyze the structures with finite-difference time-domain method. The filtering technique is used to estimate accurately the resonant frequency and their quality factors. The results show that increasing dielectric constant of background leads to the increasing the quality factors.
