  • Abstract
Beginning with the development of the power electronics it was possible to generalize the induction motors, especially those with three phases, both for industry and for domestic appliance. The direct user of the multi-phase induction motor was the electric traction due to its special characteristics: simple and robust in structure, easy to maintain and very reliable. This paper presents the electric drive simulation of a commercial aircraft in the taxi phase using two 18-phase induction motors driven from single-controlled voltage source inverter.
