Abstract :
United Solar´s multijunction, thin film amorphous silicon alloy based PV cell and roll-to-roll production technology has the unique feature of being lightweight and flexible. By combining the inherent lower cost of manufacturing with its unique flexible durable characteristics, the authors have developed a low cost peel-and-stick PV laminate that can be field installed onto metal roofs. In this paper, they report on the design, fabrication details and field mounting/bonding details of this unique PV product
