Abstract
The power generation mechanism of a PV grid-connected system was proposed by analyzing monitoring data. Three states-initial, mature and final states, of the PV system were described and demonstrated as power generation states of sunny days. The performance of a PV array connected with an inverter in each state can be evaluated by PV system parameters which are functions of solar irradiance. Irradiance fluctuation and inverter operation approach can influence on the performance of a PV system significantly. Some PV system parameters with regard to these influences have been investigated and studied in this work
