Abstract :
Optimization problems exist in many areas of statistics, and such problems are very difficult to get the exact solution by mathematical or statistical theory. In such situations, computer simulation is a feasible way. In this paper, some examples are presented to show how to use computer simulation in optimization problems in areas of parameter estimation and hypothesis testing.
