Abstract :
This paper deals with the localization of an acoustic source by means of array measurements. It gives lower bounds on bearing and range accuracy and discusses their implications for practical instrumentations. It also examines sensitivity to uncertainties in sensor location and ambiguities in delay measurement caused by very narrowband signals.
