  • Abstract
The effect of PbTiO3 or Pb(Cd1/3Nb2/3 )O3 (PCN) addition on the phase and microstructure developments and dielectric characteristics of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PWN) ceramics was studied. Optimum preparation conditions of calcination and sintering were investigated in terms of sintered density and dielectric properties. Curie temperatures were observed to increase steadily with PT addition, while addition of PCN showed little effect. The peak dielectric constant increased to a maximum value and decreased afterwards with PT addition, while it decreased monotonously with added PCN
