Abstract :
A projected equation error technique for system parameter identification is applied to a class of nonlinear differential delay systems resulting in a least squares formulation in which the estimation of the unknown time lag is uncoupled from the problem of estimating the system and disturbance parameters. Simulation results are discussed for the forced Van der Pol equation with delayed input and second order modal type disturbances
