Abstract
Electromagnetic fields can obviously hurt living organisms if the strengths are great enough. We discuss the application of FDTD to computation of electromagnetic energy absorption by a human body. In particular, we are concerned with evaluating the specific absorption rate (SAR) in the different human tissues and organs given the EM environment to which the body is exposed.
