Abstract
In this paper the reflection (or partial correlation) coefficient representation for 2-D minimum-phase filters is discussed. The representation is the basis for a new approach to designing 2-D all-pole recursive filters: the filters are designed by choosing appropriately a finite set of 2-D reflection coefficients, and stability is guaranteed merely by constraining the reflection coefficient magnitudes to be less than one.
