Abstract
The presence of an air gap between the conducting wall of a rectangular cavity and the dielectric sample to be measured has a large effect on the measurement accuracy of the sample´s dielectric constant. The mode-matching method is used to account for the air gap effect and hence improve the measurement´s accuracy.
