Abstract :
Unit commitment (UC) has been used in the vertically integrated electric industry for scheduling units to meet the demand at minimum costs. In this paper, the authors describe a parallel implementation of the Lagrangian relaxation algorithm. The algorithm has been implemented in Matlab.
