Abstract
An adaptive array architecture is presented which has an improved convergence speed over the conventional general sidelobe canceller (GSLC). The adaptation makes use of a separation of the radiating element along perpendicular axes. The adaptation time is examined for several combinations of sign levels. The effect of beam pointing angle errors or random errors in the steering vector array on the GSLC is also presented.
