  • Abstract
An experimental telemedicine network is set up to provide telemedicine support to temporary mountain clinic on Japan Alps. The network is composed of long-range wireless LAN´s and three CATV networks. It can simultaneously transmit MPEG-2 based video at 2 Mbps and digital stethoscope sound at 192 kbps, which provide enough resolution for doctors to diagnosis.
