Abstract :
This paper presents a novel modelling approach to predict the field distribution and the path loss of radiowave propagation into buildings, particularly rooms. This site-specific approach, which uses the field-equivalence principles and the field superposition theory, enables us to calculate the field distribution on three-dimensional contours and the path loss due to the construction of the building and the radiation pattern of the base antenna. Also, the polarisation information at the site can be obtained. The computation is highly effective and a good agreement with measured results has been observed.
