Abstract
This paper introduces a blind algorithm for adaptive array processing, the multi-target variable modulus algorithm (MT-VMA), which can blindly separate multiple voice-modulated single-side-band (SSB) signals in the presence of strong co-channel interference. This algorithm does not require estimation of direction of arrival (DOA) or receiver calibration data to separate the signals-of-interest (SOIs). The paper presents simulations results demonstrating the use of the MT-VMA to blindly separate six overlapped SSB voice signals received by a six-element antenna array in the HF frequency band
