Abstract :
A small diameter optical telescope with a drift scanning CCD camera, the associated softwares and hardwares can be combined to constitute a set of optical angle measuring system. The alternation between the drift scanning mode and the staring mode for observing the background stars and the GEO objects, makes the GEO satellite optical observations to become more convenient and greatly reduces the observing intensity. By means of high-precision astrometric catalog, the ground-based optical angle measuring system can provide high-precision angle measurement data of the GEO satellites and space debris, and thus achieve accurate orbit determination for them. The analysis results of observation show that the system can provide much more precious angle measurement data with a small diameter telescope than the current technologies, and the difference of the precision can be up to an order of magnitude.
