Abstract :
Next generation communication satellite systems under design and development are significantly advanced in comparison to currently deployed satellites. Satellite terminals for these systems are also envisaged to incorporate cutting-edge implementation paradigms. This paper explores the realm of functions expected at this satellite terminal in a layered approach along with design considerations.
