Abstract :
This paper deals about pulp flow control at a paper mill. The main difficulty is to maintain a constant pulp flow due to of several disturbances during pulp dilution with fresh water from concentrated pulp. With the aim of resolving this problem a system using two final control elements is proposed. The control contains an algorithm based in the model due the rules used for split controller output signal. The real result was taken from a prototype assembly installed at Familia Sancela S.A. located in Medellin.
