Abstract :
The paper is concerned with the periodic and chaotic responses of a simple drive consisting of an induction motor supplied by a voltage source inverter and controlled by a tolerance band current controller. After mathematical modelling of the drive and a survey of the two hysteresis current control method, strong nonlinear behavior is highlighted. Numerical results presented in the form of Feigenbaum diagrams and in Poincare´ maps show the periodic and chaotic ranges and chaotic response
