Abstract :
This paper presents a new system for two important applications of digital recording in real time characterisation of electric signals. The first one consists of a digital recorder of the time evolution of voltage signals working in two modes: recording directly the evolution of the signal waveform or the evolution of the main electric parameters: RMS, power components and frequency values. The second application consist of a digital recorder of voltage dips. Both applications are based on the same hardware that includes a PC with two DSP cards, which make possible a real time working multichannel system. Examples of field measurements performed using a prototype described in the paper are included
