  • Abstract
    The mobile military environment can split a BGP AS causing outages. To correct these splits, BGP implementations must detect the splits and heal the splits. This paper reviews existing mechanisms for detection and healing of splits. This paper also presents the new BGP Dynamic AS reconfiguration which automatically heals these splits.
