  • Abstract
    In this paper, a method for the online estimation of the mechanical parameters and the load torque, based on the recursive least square algorithm (RLSA) is presented. The method can be used for any type of electric drive, but in this work it is presented for induction motor direct field oriented controller drives. Simulations and experimental results are presented to show the performance of the estimation algorithm
