Abstract
Switching tests of electrical apparatus are special tests made in dedicated installations under microprocessor control. Such a system is unchanged between the two manoeuvres (on-off) of the electrical apparatus under test. The paper presents two mathematical models of these installations-a finite automata model and a Petri net model-and their applications in the switching testing of high voltage circuit breaker and the functional quality testing of low voltage circuit breakers respectively
