Abstract
The paper presents a case study for water detection computation in Grid architecture. The research concerns on the measurement and the evaluation of the processing performance of satellite images over the appropriate resources in MedioGrid. The paper analyses the relationship among virtual and physical computation time, image dimensions, number of running jobs and number of workstations involved in water detection processing.
