Abstract :
In a Multi-Agent System which is distributed over the Internet, agents in the system may be heterogeneous. In order to interact with each other heterogeneous agents require a common understanding of messages and message content. Several conversation models have been proposed, however all of them have their disadvantages on interacting in an open environment like Internet. In this paper a new Web Service-based conversation model between heterogeneous agents over Internet is proposed. The layer structure model of agent communication is designed at first, then the key conversation protocol layer is defined based on KQML in which a sequence of agent activities in the communication are demonstrated in STD(state transition diagram), at last the protocol is implemented based on Web Service technology.
