Abstract :
Based on the overall conclusion of current research results of bed load simulation methods, the bed load simulation method of long reach movable-bed model of the Yellow River is explored in this paper. It deems that, when designing the movable-bed model, it should choose corresponding model similitude law according to the erosion and deposition characteristics of the simulated reach. When simulating the erosion and deposition characteristics of most about deposition and less exchange between suspended load and bed load in reservoirs, the total sediment load model similitude law brought out by Dou Guoren may be adopted into design; when simulating sediment-laden river like the Yellow River with the characteristics of easy scouring and silting, the model similitude law brought out by Zhang Hongwu et al may be adopted. Model practices prove that it is feasible.
