Abstract :
In this paper, we discuss the different approaches used for evaluating the results of tracking algorithms, and in particular for analysis of football (soccer) tracking results. The focus of the study is on systems with multiple static cameras. The appropriate data representation and ground truth capture methods are discussed, and evaluation measures that indicate the performance of any given automatic tracker are presented. The evaluation method is demonstrated to compare results of an implemented multi-camera tracker.
