Abstract
The initial plans for the microelectronics portion of the electrical engineering program at Virginia Commonwealth University were described at the 12th UGIM symposium. This paper continues the cycle of learning, describing the progress made in the implementation and adaptation of those plans. Experience shows that various levels of networking are essential to a successful education program for integrated circuit fabrication. Some of the topics to be discussed include the facility start-up, the equipment acquisition process, tool installation and hook-up, and curriculum development
