  • Abstract
    Experimental verification of control strategies for large space structures is described. One experiment deals with Low Authority Control and uses a vertically suspended flexible beam for which two-dimensional bending modes are controlled. The second experiment deals with Modern Optical Digital Control and uses a horizontal composite flexible beam. Rotational and translational modes are controlled.
