Abstract :
In our research we have designed and implemented a ubiquitous home healthcare environment utilizing three novel technologies. We connect portable medical devices and a healthcare gateway via Zigbee which is alow-cost, long-battery-life, and easy-to-setup wireless transmission protocol. Then we convert the Zigbee medical devices into UPnP devices which can be discovered and configured automatically. Finally we manage the software in the healthcare gateway by OSGi with TR-069, so service provider can maintain the system and fix problem without truckroll to user´s home. Moreover, to improve the usability, we implement a TV user interface by leveraging the benefit of MHP. User can control the devices via a TV remote controller, and the measurement results displayed on the big screen will be more readable forthe elderly.
