Abstract
The compact signature analysis (CSA) has been proposed to reduce the compaction technique hardware by 50%. The general formula for the corresponding aliasing error probability (AEP) has been found to lie between 0 and 1. The condition for the AEP of the compact signature to be equal to or less than 1/2k was hard to calculate. An additional hardware condition is added to validate the mentioned value. Several examples, with different units under test (UUT) are studied
