The statistical research on the influence factors of college students´ English level

With the rapid development of economy, English becomes more and more important, especially to university students, because it´s related to their attainment of bachelor degree and job hunting. In this paper, we researched the students´ English levels of some university in Hubei province with the Chi-square Test, and further analysed the influence factors (such as gender, specialty, score and Regional difference) on English levels. Our result of research showed that the influences of such factors on the university students´ English levels are highly significant. At last, according to the present condition of English education of Hubei province, we provided some instructive suggestions based on our research.
